1. Definitions

• App — the Geodit web platform and mobile application, and any updates to them.
• Platform — the Geodit web platform and services the App connects to.
• Organisation — the government body, institution, NGO or company that has set up a survey and on whose behalf you collect data.
• You — the individual using the App, typically as field staff of an Organisation.
• Survey Data — responses, photos, locations and other information collected through the App.

2. Eligibility and acceptance

You must be at least 18 years old and have the authority to accept these Terms, either for yourself or on behalf of the Organisation that provided your access. By using the App you confirm that you meet these requirements.

3. Accounts and access

Access to the App is usually provisioned by your Organisation. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Notify us or your Organisation promptly if you suspect unauthorised use. We may rely on instructions and configurations set by your Organisation regarding your access and permissions.

4. Licence

Subject to these Terms, Antef grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the App on a device you own or control, solely for the purpose of collecting survey data for your Organisation. This licence does not transfer any ownership in the App or the Platform.

5. Your responsibilities and acceptable use

When using the App, you agree to:

• Collect data accurately, honestly and in line with the instructions given by your Organisation.
• Ensure that any necessary notices to, or consents from, respondents are in place — relying on the Organisation's lawful basis where it provides one — before collecting their information.
• Comply with all applicable laws, including data-protection, privacy and surveying regulations.

6. Ownership of data and intellectual property

Survey Data belongs to and is controlled by the Organisation, in accordance with its agreement with Antef. Antef handles Survey Data as a processor on the Organisation's behalf. Your handling of Survey Data is governed by these Terms, the Privacy Policy, and your Organisation's policies.

The App, the Platform, and all related software, designs, trademarks and content are owned by Antef and protected by intellectual-property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any rights in them except the limited licence in Section 4.

7. Offline use and synchronisation

The App is designed to work offline and sync data when connectivity is available. Data you collect offline is stored only on your device until it successfully syncs. You are responsible for syncing your device regularly. Antef is not responsible for data that is lost because it was not synced before a device was lost, damaged, reset, uninstalled or otherwise made inaccessible.

8. Location accuracy

Location data is derived from your device's GPS and other sensors and is approximate. Its accuracy depends on your device, surroundings and conditions. The App is not a survey-grade positioning instrument, and you should not rely on it where centimetre- or survey-grade accuracy is required.

9. Availability and changes to the App

We provide the App on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We may update, modify, suspend or discontinue all or part of the App at any time, including for maintenance, security or improvements. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free or available at all times.

10. Third-party services

The App relies on third-party services (such as cloud hosting, map providers and notification services). Your use of the App may also be subject to the terms of your device manufacturer, operating system and app store. We are not responsible for third-party services or their availability.

11. Suspension and termination

We or your Organisation may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, including for breach of these Terms or where your access through the Organisation ends. On termination, your licence ends and you must stop using the App. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability and governing law — will continue to apply.

12. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will meet your requirements or that defects will be corrected.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Antef will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits or revenue, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the App. To the extent Antef has any liability to you, it will not exceed the amount, if any, you paid to Antef for use of the App in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

14. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold Antef harmless from claims, damages and expenses arising from your misuse of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of any third party.

15. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to applicable law, the courts at Fazilka, Punjab, India will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms or the App.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the App. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
